Emily 4 months

Well baby girl, we made it to 4 months!! I say that because this month was a little tricky. We moved you up into your room, mommy spent a week as a single parent and you had your first cold. Needless to say, we had our moments this month! But here we are! You are a hefty 16 lbs 12oz and 25.5 inches long.  You are one chunky monkey! I love all those rolls!

You found your hands this month and they are always in your mouth. You drool constantly and the front of your shirt is always soaking wet. You also have started to put things in your mouth if you can grab them.  Sophie being your toy of choice.

 

You love to be held. You are happiest when someone is carrying you around. This can make things difficult for mommy, but we are working through it.  You love to sit up and stand up. You have also started to talk more, mostly in the morning and whenever your sister is playing with you. The best thing of all is your smile! You smile all the time and it warms my heart.

 



 



Gig'em Aggies

Emily 3 months

 Well, we made it! Who knew three months could go by so quickly?  You have grown so much this month, although I don't know your stats, I know my arms and back hurt carrying you around! You have fattened up into one little nugget! You are wearing 3 month clothes and size 2 diapers. You eat about 6 ounces every 3-4 hours. We moved you up into your own room this month and that took some getting used to and a lot of exercise up and down the stairs for mommy and daddy. You seem to be okay with it now. Most nights you sleep from 8:30-4:00 and then back down until 7:00.  You are still a short napper in your crib but will sleep forever on my chest, very unproductive for mama!

 Unlike your sister, you are a tummy time rock star. You love to be on your tummy and you just look around and coo. You have even rolled over from tummy to back several times!  You also love your Bumbo seat and are grasping at toys and shaking them. You also love to grab burp clothes and toys and put them straight in your mouth! Silly girl likes to suck her thumb every now and again too!

 Your precious smile is contagious and you even giggle a little for daddy! The bubbles and drool are flowing and you can yell with the best of them. You are a joy to be with and your sister loves you just as much as you love her!! It makes this mama's heart melt watching you too together!!

Emily's newborn pictures

On Emily's sixth day of life we returned to Jamie Rogers Photography for a day long photo shoot. She did such an amazing job with Molly's newborn pictures, we couldn't NOT use her again. Here are a few of my faves!!

2 months

 

When did that happen?? I swear I just brought you home from the hospital yesterday! You have grown so much, you are 11 lbs 14 ounces and 23 inches.  You have moved up in diaper size and clothes.  Those little rolls are starting to form and I love every one! You are eating every 3 or 4 hours and sleeping a good 6 hours straight at night. You are still sleeping in mommy and daddy's room but that is about to change. Nursery here we come!!

You are smiling a lot and making some silly noises when you get excited.  You do this really cute thing with your tongue, you kinda look like a lizard, pulling it in and out! Blowing spit bubbles is a favorite at this time too!  I love that you are getting more comfortable in your car seat, if only it wasn't so hot!

Your sister loves you so much and wants to "hold" you all the time. She likes to help mommy soothe you and keep you happy.  She tends to mimic everything daddy and I do to make you happy. It is really cute and you seem to like it too!! Tummy time is her favorite, but not yours!

1 month

Time flies when you are having fun! That is what they say, right? Well, we are having fun but I also think time is flying due to lack of sleep!! Our sweet Emily is 1 month old and as sweet as sweet can be!! She is now 10 lbs and 21 inches.  Growing like a weed! And she should be with as much as she eats! Every 3 hours during the day and luckily a little better at night. We are getting a 5-6 hour stretch at night.  Emily is a happy baby and only seems to get fussy when she is hungry or a little gassy! :)
She loves to be held and all snuggled up in a swaddle. Bath time is becoming more and more enjoyable as she gets used to it. 
Daddy and I are in love, and so is Big Sister Molly.  She loves her little sister and is handling the transition pretty well. Mimi and Papa have spent a lot of time giving her some one on one attention and we even had a visit from PopPop! It has been quite a month!
