Emily 10 months

 

This picture sums up my little girl! Sticking your tongue out and blowing a raspberry! Love this girl so much and we are having so much fun these days!! You are full of life and energy. You are into EVERYTHING! It all started with you pulling up.

 

 



Then you figured out how to stand up in your crib!

 

Now you crawl at the speed of lightning, pull up on anything you can and then proceed to make a mess!!! You love to dump out all the food in the play kitchen, throw all the Little People out of their tub, and toss all puzzle pieces on the floor! After, of course, you put them all in your mouth!

 

You have a new tooth, and you say "Hi" to just about everyone! It is so cute! I love it when you come across a doll or stuffed animal and when you pick it up you say "Hi"! You have had your first tastes of table food, spent the weekend at Mimi and Papas, and your first visit to the zoo! It flew by as usual and I can't believe you are so close to your first birthday!

Emily 9 months

 

9 months and counting... please make it stop!! You are getting so big so fast!!

This month you got your DOC band, we had some trouble with heat rash at the beginning but you are going strong now with no problems.! Another tooth appeared this month, you now have two on top and two on the bottom. You are eating me out of house and home! Your stats are 21 lbs 12 oz and you are 28.5 inches long!! My growing girl!! You started crawling this month and haven't stopped moving since! You are into everything and it is a good thing you have that extra protection on your head, because you have no fear!!

DOC band

Emily started a new adventure at the beginning of February! She is the proud owner of a DOC band.

 

 

Doesn't she look excited!! After much debate and some convincing images taken by the specialist, we decided that this was the right choice for Emily. Her head was significantly flatter on one side then the other and her precious cheeks were also a little disproportionate.  Luckily our insurance covered most of it! Thank goodness, not a cheap thing!! Our goal for a perfectly shaped head is 3 months!!

 

We were even able to get the band wrapped by a charitable organization that does them for free! No more stark white band for Emily!

 





Emily 8 months

8 months and counting!

It has been an eventful month!! You are moving everywhere, not crawling, just moving! You get where you want to be! You have sprouted your first top tooth and the second one isn't far behind! You have mastered the pincher grip with your fingers which you promptly used to put cheerios and puffs in your mouth!! Now you want them all the time! You had your first experience with pink eye! Luckily you didn't mind the ointment and it came and went very quickly!
Your first road trip to Houston wasn't that great. You slept great in the car but when you were awake you weren't happy to just chill!! Mommy had to get in the back seat with you and Sesame Street songs on repeat got us through! Hopefully you will learn to entertain yourself better before we try another road trip! Your sister is your favorite person, followed closely by your daddy!

You are growing like a weed and eating like a horse! You are wearing 12-18 months clothes and even some of those don't fit!! :) I love you little chunky monkey!!

Christmas 2013

So.much.fun! That pretty much sums up our Christmas this year! Yes, there was some sickness and traveling woes, but overall so fun!!

Emily 7 months

So I am a little late this month, but we have been super busy!! And so have you little one!!
Here are some highlights!!
-You have two bottom teeth and you like to play with them with your fingers
-you do this funny little chuckle
-you are trying your first cheerios and puffs, not quite able to get them yourself
-you constantly wiggle your toes and rotate your feet, I love it!
-sitting up all by yourself and rolling over constantly!
-you say dada all the time but with no person attached to it, it is your favorite sound
-you love to yell, for no apparent reason at all
-you are growing so fast, as apparent by your pajamas

-you experienced your first snow, well ice storm really

-we had our first trip to Urgent Care during the ice storm because you had a relapse of your cough and cold
-finally slept through the night!!! Hallelujah!

Emily 6 months

6 month highs and lows

Highs
- your giggle

- 18 lbs!!!
-rolling over (both ways)

Lows
-teething
-bad cold and cough
-double ear infection
-not sleeping well

It has been a wild month, we had to find joy in the small things this month. You spent most of the month teething and then having a horrible cold with a cough. Then we ended the month with a double ear infection. You had a horrible time sleeping and were just not yourself. Luckily, there were many moments where your precious personality pushed through!! That smile of yours can make any crazy day better!!
